Eastern Shore Railroad 2001
The first trip on the ESRR took place on a very damp and chilly weekend, March 31 - April 1, 2001. We traveled in Tom Stallings' beautifully restored Norfolk Southern A6, the 8401. Tom invited us because our MT14 had recently derailed, resulting in a broken bearing casing, and also because he needed us to tow the car. During WWII, this line was a double tracked and signaled railroad, PRR's connection to Norfolk and its naval yards.
